Happy Easter!

Grandma & Grandpa watching The Masters! Dan, not sure why this turned out so dark?

Jayden doing a project that is due tomorrow!

Happy Easter to everyone! Hope that everyone is having a nice Easter holiday with good food, friends, and family! The Easter bunny did stop by and hide some eggs, left some swimming trunks and water guns! Over the weekend we have played Imagine-Iff, and watched a few movies. Jayden won the board game and sad to say that most of the movies were bad. Slum Dog Millionaire = Bad, 7 Pounds = Worse, Twilight=Terrible. Today on TV, FREE movie, we watched Maid of Honor and the girls say it was by far the best out of all the movies watched!
Baseball update, Casen's little league baseball team is still undefeated and plays again on Monday. Hopefully the luck doesn't turn south with Grandma and Grandpa watching! Jayden doesn't have anything until Saturday, his 7 on 7 football team is playing in the State Tourney, here in The Woodlands!

Flat Stanley

Casen and his best buddy Isiah with Flat Stanley! Casen and Flat Stanley playing Playstation!

Clint giving the speech after a victory!
Before going out to eat at Pei Wei Asian Diner, yum!
Casen was doing the Flat Stanley project this week. Second graders are reading the novel in school and Flat Stanley spent the week with us and we had to document it with pictures and nightly diary entries of his time here. Flat Stanley was at a lot of sporting events in his week with our family. Three seven on seven football games and 2 baseball games. Casen's baseball team is 6-0, yes undefeated so far. Tomorrow night we play the other undefeated team, I hope we win, it should be very exciting! Grandma and Grandpa Holden will be with us for Easter, we are looking forward to the company :)

Rodeo = Longhorns, Funnel Cake, Ice Cold Diet Cokes!

Dad and Mom during the funnel cake and Diet Coke break! Same goes for us funnel cake and Diet Coke break, mental note do NOT wear a black shirt if you know in advance of the funnel cake!

Grandpa and the boys with Bevo in the back!

Casen and a BIG longhorn behind him!

Jayden just after finishing his pizza, in the background they are making the BEST smelling burgers and sausage on a stick ever!

It was a great day at the Rodeo! Fabulous weather, 77 degrees calm and not a cloud in the sky! I come by my funnel cake and diet coke love honestly, mom has the same love too! We all enjoyed the carny guys heckling us, and walking through Reliant Arena looking at the HUGE cows of all sorts (milking, longhorns, bulls). Jayden actually went on the Zipper, big feat for him as well as the Grande Ferris Wheel, doesn't like heights much. Casen loved sitting in the nice cars and big tractors, those pictures will be the next post :). Casen was actually tall enough to drive his own bumper car, he has been awaiting that day since we have been going to the rodeo. Today is another beautiful day and we are going to plant flowers and tomato plants!

Rockhounds Win First Place!

Rockhounds 1st place! Jayden back center without a baseball cap.

A quick baseball update...Jayden's baseball team won first place this weekend! It was very exciting. We came back in the sixth inning to win both games on Sunday. I know I said that I was going to bring my camera and I did, it just didn't make it out of the counsel of the car. I was kicking myself for leaving it after they won the championship! Jayden played well, he loves being in the outfield, no more first base for him! Casen also has a little friend named Brice, he's the younger brother of another player on the team, love it when there is a sibling his age especially a boy. They were out in the woods, just past center field, I could see them through the fence. They were making a "hobo house" out of sticks and rocks, They also had furnishings in the house... an old grill and an old retired bicycle that they found in the woods! Another good time had by all. Next weekend grandma and grandpa with the dog (no more) are coming to visit and see some ball games, we can't wait!

Busy Busy Busy!

An old picture of Casen! Jayden heading out the door for baseball practice!
I am well aware it has been three weeks since my last post. We are super busy two boys playing in three sports. Both of the boys are in full swing baseball season. Casen's team this year at Orwall is the Boston Red Sox. They are a good group of boys. There are 4 boys from last years all-star team on the Sox this year, should be a good season. Jayden is playing for the Rockhounds, and has his first tourney this weekend. Jayden is also playing 7 on 7 football. The Holden life is basically taxiing everyone where they need to be and while we are home we are trying to get homework completed along with some laundry! And my most favorite catch up on the DVR shows like The Bachelor (go Melissa), American Idol, and The Biggest Loser. This weekend I'll try to take some pictures, it has not even dawned on me in all of this craziness to bring my camera. :)

Baseball Is On!

Fuzzy picture of Jayden throwing the ball in bounds. Casen doing his one handed acrobats!
Rock Band still a big hit!
More Rock Band!

This basketball season has come to an end. The district tournament was this weekend and Jayden's team placed 4th. He had a good tourney. His three point shooting game was definitely on, and it was exciting. It was really nice to see a strong Jr. High finish. The baseball draft for Casen's Little League team was Monday night. Clint fielded a great team, Casen knows a lot of the boys , and we know a lot of the parents. It should be a fun baseball season, we are looking forward to it! Practice begins on Saturday. Tuesday night we had our first College Park High School parent information night. Needless to say afterwards I felt sick, old, overwhelmed, and like he's WAY to young to be going to that HUGE school. Where has the time gone? Seems like only yesterday he was riding in the car to school with me, now look, very sad. :(
