Memorial Day Visitors!

Uncle Dan and Miao, and baby boy (Dexter, Aiden, Eli, Mars, Jupiter ???) Venus and Casen!

We were blessed to have the East Katy Holdens with us Memorial Day! We celebrated our togetherness with ribs, potatoes, baked beans, watermelon, and a layered pudding dessert.
Amongst the many discussions that took place baby names was priority... they are mentioned above, it was later determined that Dan and Miao will look at Baby Boy Holden to determine what his actual name will be! We all look forward to a little baby in the family again in mid-June :)

Random

Cubs end of season party at Spring Creek Barbecue!!! More Cubs watching season video on "big screen!"

Family of armadillos crossing road!

Same family playing in the ditch!

Some random shots! On the way to school one morning there was this family of armadillos right by the stop sign. They were there a long time, well long enough to dig my camera out of the council of the truck, turn it on, focus and snap a few shots. Whenever I see armadillos (usually dead along side of the roads) they remind me of the Omaha Zoo! They looked like wind up toys going in circles. These were wind up toys walking in a straight line. Casen and the Cubs finished the season with a record of 7-7. It was a fun season, I hope we get to remain with the families that we have become friends with for another season!

Baseball Season

Casen on the pitching mound!
Casen on third base, Clint third base coach!

Casen on the mound. The Cubs had an early morning Saturday game. They won and their season record thus far is 4-4. The scoreboard in the background reads 2 minutes left to play fourth inning one ball one strike and we have 10. Jayden's high school baseball team is also playing very well right now they are in 2nd place in District play, with about 4 games remaining to the season.

Zoo During Spring Break :(

Jayden ran into his girlfriend Peyton at the zoo. Casen found a nice shady spot!

???????????

Jayden had a Biology project assigned that is due right after spring break. The project was a 200 question scavenger hunt throughout the Houston Zoo along with pictures for documentation. The boys went to the zoo on Wednesday afternoon along with every other family in the Houston area that was on spring break! It was packed! Glad to report the questions and pictures are done and we don't have to think about it any longer! Right at the end of the zoo scavenger hunt Jayden ran into his girlfriend Peyton, who was there doing the same thing. Thought that I would share the picture of the two. So sad that spring break is almost over, oh well bring on summer vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cubs off to a 2-0 Season!

Our little Cub off to his first baseball game of the season!

We know his glasses are not on yet, those are the very last thing before he leaves the house. I also know it has been forever since I blogged. Several excuses...no batteries for the camera, hence no pictures, Clint's laptop bit the dust and that's what I liked using, and lack of time. I will try to do better this spring though. Casen is on the Majors Cubs at Orwall. Jayden is playing baseball at College Park High School, he made the Junior Varsity which is a big feat for a freshmen. They are off to a good season as well. Baseball is in full swing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spring Is Here and So Is Baseball

Everyone waiting for the ref to give the ball.
Jayden shooting a "three" and its good!!!!!!!!!!!!
Watching free throws!

Tough defense!!!!!!!!!!!
Top of the key!!!!!!!!!!!

College Park basketball season is over. The Cavaliers placed 2nd in District!!! Was a good season and we look forward to next year.

Misc. & Money Wreath

Money wreath!
Fighting over the money wreath!
Trying to steal from the money wreath!

Grandma is a cat magnet!

Can you believe the money wreath, it is the BEST wreath EVER! It honestly is one of the neatest pieces of art that I have ever seen. So neat that I do not want to take any money off of it. The kids that I teach have been collecting money for the teachers gift and one of the moms made this wreath ,it has 100 $5.00 bills on it, the pictures just don't do it justice. That's such a neat neat idea!!! The last picture is grandma taking a catnap, and the kitties decided to join her aren't they all so CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!
